Local Guilds

Since the formation of the first local section of the CMA in the early 20th century, the organization's history has been steeped in the rich guild tradition.  Guilds provide fellowship, education, opportunities to serve the local Church and public, and a base for medical students and residents to find guidance.  While its national office is located in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, the CMA has a presence across the country through these local groups.  CMA guilds may be organized at the level of a parish, city, or diocese.  In order to be eligible for charter status and recognition as an official guild of the CMA, guilds must include at least six physician members.  Chartered guilds are organized within 11 regions of the country, each supported by regional directors.

To find a CMA guild near you, please refer to the list below. Click on local guilds' websites, where available, for information on local events and members.
