CMA Member Featured on Local News

August 04, 2011

CMA member Michael Kloess, M.D. was recently featured in a local news story on Madison TV station WKOW on how his organization, Our Lady of Hope Clinic, helps to treat the uninsured.

Our Lady of Hope Clinic is based on a model pioneered by CMA member Robert Forester, M.D., at his St. Luke's Family Practice in Modesto, California. The model combines elements of low-overhead micro-practice, a nonprofit corporation structure, and benefactors who pay a yearly fee for their own care and to support care of the poor. This unique approach also allows Kloess, and his partner Anna Volk Johnson, M.D., the freedom to practice medicine in complete accordance with Church teaching, with a special and scientific focus on natural family planning. Both physicians are trained in CMA member Thomas Hilgers, M.D.'s system of NaProTECHNOLOGY, a new women’s health science that monitors and maintains a woman’s reproductive and gynecological health.
