CMA Member Published in American Principles Project
July 13, 2009
CMA member Aaron Kheriaty recently published a reflection on the demise of President Bush's Council on Bioethics at the American Principles Project. Dr. Kheriaty responds to charges that the Council was stacked, recalls some of the valuable work that it did during its tenure, and speculates about the unwelcome "change" that President Obama's team will bring.
In addition to being a member of the National CMA Dr. Kheriaty is a member of a Chartered Guild, the St. Luke Society of Orange County, California. Dr. Kheriarty is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Irvine's Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. He is also the Director of Residency Training and Medical Education and a Director of their Psychiatry and Spirituality Forum. He regularly lectures to professional audiences and the general public on mental health, medical ethics, religion, and spirituality.
Dr. Kheriaty's post can be read here.
