Region I Regional Director John Howland, M.D., collaborated with Janice Steinhagen in writing a book, Heart Sounds: 12 Catholic Doctors. Based on interviews with Catholic physicians, including CMA members, the book explores how faith shapes their approach to medicine despite the pressures and temptations of a secular society. The book, which has been receiving very favorable reviews in the press, is available in the CMA Bookstore for $14.95.
