Medcon 2025: Calling All Catholic Pre-Med Students

November 8, 2024

Medcon is the CMA’s weekend conference for Catholic pre-med students!

The Catholic Medical Association recognizes that outreach to the next generation of Catholic physicians must begin by inspiring and encouraging those who are still discerning a vocation to health care. Perhaps now more than ever, Christ is calling young people to join His healing ministry, yet many are discouraged by the cultural and political pressures stripping the healing arts of many principles of Christian anthropology.

As such, the CMA is inviting anyone considering a career as a physician to attend Medcon, where speakers from around the country will present on philosophy, vocation, and bioethics. This year’s theme is Healthcare Needs Heroes. By the end of the conference, attendees will be both inspired to answer the call to heal the most vulnerable among us and equipped intellectually to thrive in a secular training environment.

This year’s conference will be held at KansasCOM (Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine), a state-of-the-art medical school in downtown Wichita, Kansas the weekend of April 25-27, 2025. CMA members are encouraged to extend the invitation to any friends or family members that are pre-med or considering careers in medicine. This is one of the best steps a member can take to help build another generation of Catholic physicians!
