(PHILADELPHIA, PA)— January 9, 2018 The Catholic Medical Association (CMA) is proud to announce the appointment of its new President, Dr. Peter Morrow an Internal Medicine physician. Dr. Morrow will lead the largest association of Catholic health care professionals in the United States.
The Catholic Medical Association is a national, physician-led community of more than 2,300 healthcare professionals consisting of over 100 local guilds nationwide. CMA’s mission is to inform, organize, and inspire its members, to uphold the principles of the Catholic faith in the science and practice of medicine.
“As CMA members we are the face of the New Evangelization in medicine as we bear public moral witness to the critical medical issues of our time. This is most evident of our ardent defense of the dignity and sanctity of every human life from conception to natural death”, said Dr. Morrow.
Dr. Morrow is a Board-Certified Internist with expertise in Geriatric Medicine. He has been practicing in St. Cloud and Osceola County, FL for 35 years.
As a community-oriented and faith-driven physician, Dr. Morrow has placed emphasis on serving those around him. Dr. Morrow is highly involved in his church, including serving as the Medical Director of the St. Thomas Aquinas Free Medical Clinic as well as working with the Osceola County Council on Aging, which assists the elderly, disadvantaged, and disabled in Osceola County.
“As the CMA continues to expand its capacity to serve our membership, and maximize our effectiveness for authentic Catholic healthcare on a national scale, Dr. Morrow’s deep faith, collaborative leadership style, and knowledge of the current issues facing healthcare are particularly valuable at this moment in the organizations development. His experience as a past president of the CMA also brings added value, and a vote of confidence from the membership, which will be invaluable as we advance our mission,” said Mario R. Dickerson, M.T.S., Executive Director of the Catholic Medical Association.
